How to improve your business stationery in 5 easy steps

Want to know how you can elevate your business stationery in 5 easy steps? Read below and find out how you can get your hands on some luxury business cards, note cards, gift vouchers and many more items.

BUSINESS GOLD FOIL AND LETTERPRESS NOTE CARDS

1. Decide on the stationery your business needs.

Firstly start with reviewing the stationery your business already has and decide if it is doing the job you want it to do. For example have you got business cards you don’t use any more, instead having bespoke business note cards could be more beneficial. Then start to decide if you are missing any items of branded stationery. Do you have clients that ask if you offer gift vouchers? If so, this is a great way to provide a new service to your customers.

2. Find a stationery designer and printer who matches your brand aesthetic.

Look at your branding, logo and overall aesthetic and find a stationery designer to match your vibe. This means that your stationery designer will be truly able to understand the style and the stationery your business needs. Are you obsessed with the power of minimal design? Then find a stationery designer who mirrors this. Or is your business about bold colours and typography? Match this by using a stationery designer who is not afraid make your brand stand out from the crowd.

Maybe you would prefer to find a local stationery designer that you can meet in person and share ideas with. However when I work with clients that aren’t local to me, I always offer to send you samples in the post so you can see and touch how luxurious the stationery I design and print is.

By picking the right stationery designer, you will inevitably save money during the design process as you will get to your final design quicker as well as the whole process will be overall more enjoyable for everyone involved.

3. Settle on the exact details you need printed.

Don’t over complicate your new stationery with getting unnecessary details printed. Maybe since the last time you got stationery printed your contact details have changed or become redundant. Would you prefer clients contact you via email rather then calling? Or have you got a new social media platform you would like to promote? I’m a big advocate of less is more. Having white space around your stationery content and logo allows everything to breathe and your new or existing clients to read your important information a lot easier.

4. Pick paper colours to match your branding.

Start by looking at your brand colours and decide on the colours that truly reflect your brand aesthetic. If you want your new stationery to stand out from the crowd, consider using a coloured paper. By not going for a typical white paper your new deluxe stationery will instantly represent your business and what you stand for.

Or ask your stationery designer if you can pick a few different paper colours to use across your whole stationery range. Doing this will make you noticeable to new clients compared to your competitors.

5. Elevate your details with hot foil and letterpress printing.

Finally elevate your bespoke business stationery by using luxurious print techniques like hot foil and letterpress printing. Both hot foil and letterpress printing leaves a beautiful tactile impression into the surface of the paper. Majority of businesses get their stationery printed digitally, but by using a stationery designer and printer who offers hot foil and letterpress printing, this will mean you will stand out from the crowd.

Speaking from experience the times I have handed out my thick heavyweight business cards and note cards to new clients, they always comment how high-class and different they are. Meaning new clients will remember your business and come back to you for future business.
